Minimal Disruption from Cable Cut

FarmOut call center facilities were down for about 30 minutes as a result of cable cut in the international fiber from the Taiwan 7.1-7.2 Richter scale earthquake. Full service was restored after the 30 minute downtime.

The short downtime was the result of FarmOut‘s multiple links to the internet. FarmOut traffic is being serviced by Digitel, PLDT and Mozcom/Globe. Full BGP route selection kicked in as the networks started to normalize. FarmOut also offered to act as spillover facility to fellow members of Philcall.
